Makeup Brush Guide For Beginners
I don’t wear a lot of makeup on a day to day basis. I don’t have the luxury of spending more than 10 mins on my make up and hair before heading out to work. My 5 minute make up routine can be found here.
Here are the make up brushes that work like a charm for the make up that I apply. Trust me , I am no expert in applying make up. So if you are a beginner, these brushes will work well for you.
90% of the time I use a skin veil. The days I feel fancy and want to wear a foundation, I use a the blending brush from Furless. This brush does not leave any streaks and can be used to apply concealer as well. Super affordable and is as good as MAC brushes.
Since I have pretty bad dark circles, I have to apply concealer on a regular basis. It’s important to set the concealer with a setting powder. Furless and Sigma powder brushes are my absolute favorite.
For blushes, any angled fluffy brush should work. My favorite is a super affordable version from Avon. (I am not an Avon Affiliate).
Eye Shadow Brush
I do not apply eye shadow on a regular basis. But when I do for special occasion, I use one brush for my lid, crease and outer V. My Mac 222 tapered brush. It gives a flawless application every time. Unfortunately it’s discontinued. But here’s a similar one. The idea is to use any tapered blending brush
I never leave the house without filling in my eyebrow. It makes a world of a difference to your look. My absolute favorite brush is from Anastasia beverly hills. The brush and spoolie combo makes it a super hit! It’s a bit expensive, but worth the money.
I usually use my fingers to apply my cream highlighter. But if you like powder highlighters, Sigma makes one of the best highlighter brushes!
