Home Made Beauty Treatments

I am a big fan of homemade beauty treatments as I know what goes into it and it’s as un-adulterated as it can get. With that being said, I also get lazy at the thought of finding multiple items from the pantry, mixing them and then applying them. Especially if it’s one-time use!

So being the lazy girl who still wants to look good (hey, who doesn’t want to), there are my tried and tested homemade beauty treatments with 3 or less ingredients. Most of these can be stored in the refrigerator for multiple uses!

Refreshing mist and toner

With Valentine’s day coming, there’s going to be plenty of roses around. Instead of trashing the dried flowers, make this refreshing face mist

·         Water- 1 cup

·         Rose petals- from 2 medium roses

Boil water add rose petals and reduce quantity to half. Cool, strain and store in a spray bottle. Refrigerate toner if needed

Anti-aging potion

Make this simple anti-aging potion by combining these 2 ingredients

·         Aloe Vera gel- 4 table spoon (click on the picture below to shop the purest aloe Vera gel available)

·         Vitamin E oil- 2 tablespoon

Mix both the ingredients and store in an airtight container.Use it at night before going to bed before applying night cream. Wake up with soft and supple skin in the morning! Refrigerate extra. It lasts for a long time.-

Moisturizing mask

I have dry skin and this mask does wonders for my skin. Mix the following items:

  • Rolled oats powdered- 1 tablespoon

  • Avocado- 1 quarter mashed up

  • Milk- enough to make a paste

Apply to skin and wash off once its dry. All the ingredients in the mask have moisturizing properties. This helps a lot with dry patches as well.

Homemade tinted lip balm

This one is my absolute favorite. You can make the purest form of lip balm at home that moisturizes your lips and gives it a tint of color as well!

  • Coconut oil- 1 tablespoon

  • Organic red color from beet roots (see link below)- few drops

Melt coconut oil and add it to a small container with lid. Add few drops of beet root juice or the organic red color. Mix and cool. Use this as lip balm. I LOVE it!

Anti-aging face pack

One of the most common items in the kitchen is also nature’s Botox- Bananas! These have wrinkle fighting properties and are easily available in every household.

  • Mashed banana- 1 tablespoon

  • Vit C capsule- 1

  • Yogurt- enough to make a paste

Cut open the Vit C capsule and mix the powder with mashed bananas. Add yogurt to form a paste. Apply to skin and wash off once dry.
