Colors of Indian Festivities- Part II

Colors of Indian Festivities- Part II

In this part of the series, we will talk about Navratri and Dandiya! This is my favorite dress up festival. You can go all out with your lehangas (Indian Skirts) and jewelry! This look book has 2 outfits that I wore this year and also a bonus look of my friend! She is such a sport when it comes to dressing up.

Let’s start with a brief introduction of the festival. Navratri is a nine days festival. The festival symbolizes the battle and victory of good over evil. The evenings are celebrated by a traditional folk dance called Dandiya Raas. In Dandiya Raas men and women dance in two circles, with sticks in their hands. It’s absolutely a delight to watch and participate!

Let’s move on to the look book. If you need details of the outfits, check the description below and click on the picture.
